Pst. Umo Eno Political Journey

Governor Eno’s foray into politics began when he was appointed as the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources in Akwa Ibom State in 2021 by then-Governor Udom Emmanuel. In this role, he contributed significantly to the state’s development, particularly in land management and water resources.

In 2022, governor Eno resigned from his commissioner role to pursue his governorship ambition. Running under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he won the 2023 gubernatorial election, succeeding Udom Emmanuel.
